Your Job
As a TOA, you will take care of practical components for the three subjects biology, physics, and chemistry and support the technical and educational preparation for these. The practical classroom is your home where you perform demonstration experiments, provide instruction on practicals, assist teachers and supervise students during practicals. In addition to working with the students, you perform ‘small’ maintenance on equipment and ensure that all supplies remain stocked. Furthermore, you support the international science teaching staff in their planning and preparation for lessons. You do all this under the responsibility of a qualified teacher within the context of the International Baccalaureate’s Middle Years and Diploma Programme. For the Diploma Programme you also support students individually and with a degree of independence during their internal assessments.

We offer
We offer you an inspiring and challenging working environment as of August 1, 2024 (start date in consultation of course). This includes a good package of employment conditions according to CAO VO.

• A temporary employment for 0,8 FTE for the duration of the replacement.

• The function is based on your knowledge and experience. This means you will be scaled in at either scale 5, 6, or 7 starting at € 2.177, - and ending at € 3.588, - per month (CAO VO gross per month based on a fulltime employment).
• A standard travel allowance as per CAO, a good and attractive pension plan, 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8,33%, and free time during holidays.
• A personal budget of 90 hours with a full-time employment. You can use this as desired. For example, you have the option to exercise, an extra day off for a weekend away, shopping at Coolblue, Bol.com etc.

Your profile
To fill this function successfully, you are in possession of a mbo-diploma technisch onderwijsassistent (niveau 4) or equivalent. You are a near-native English speaker. Experience in IB MYP and DP is desirable.
